A lot of times clients tell me that certain parts of their body "crackle" as their airbrush spray tan fades.  The most important thing to do is moisturize after your airbrush spray tanning session.  Also the problem could be your spray tan technician in spraying too much solution, or too dark a solution could do it too.  Dry skin also seems to "crackle" when fading.  Too much sunless solution build-up is another cause.  So make sure all of the solution is completely gone before you airbrush spray tan.

Remember every person's skin is unique and your airbrush spray tan might slightly differ than someone else's. :)

You spend good money on an airbrush spray tan, and it doesn't last two days and your thinking to yourself what happened?  How you prepare your skin before your airbrush spray tan is just has important as how you care for it.  If you follow these guidelines you will have the best outcome for your airbrush spray tan.

Exfoliate the day of your airbrush spray tan session.  You want all the dead skin removed.
Shave at least six hours before your airbrush spray tan session.  Shave the night before if you are getting airbrush spray tanned the next morning, or that same morning if you are getting airbrush spray tanned that evening.  You can use deodorant, but very sparingly.  If you want a nice color on your face remove face makeup.  (I have makeup wipes in my salon that my clients can use before there session.)

Follow these simple steps and I promise your airbrush spray tan will last at least 5-7 days!

A great way to make your Airbrush Spray Tan last is to use pure olive oil.   Buy a small bottle of extra virgin olive oil and use this to moisturize your skin.  Olive oil is all natural and can be used on all parts of your body.

It is so important to moisturize with the RIGHT products when you sunless spray tan.  Some moisturizers use harsh chemicals that strip the skin of your sunless tan airbrush tan.

Summer is over, the kids are back in school, all you can do now is dream of the endless summer days at the beach, pool or lake.  To be honest, I've always dreaded the summer months.  Being in a bathing suit is not something I like to do.  My skin is milky white, and its not alway easy due to all my friends having darker skin.  But, now that I Airbrush Spray tan, my worries are over.  I look amazing, and all it takes is 15 minutes every 5-7 days.  That's it!!!  I also make sure I use the best organic products on the market.  No orange color for me please!  :)

Now that summer is over, we still desire a tan.  Fall is coming and that means cooler weather, which means pasty white skin.  Having a tan makes us all look a little bit better.  

There are ways to have that great tan without compromising our health.  Hopefully some of my advise will help you maintain that beautiful tan this fall and winter.

DO NOT USE...

Tanning beds cause wrinkles and skin cancer.  You have all heard this over and over, but it is true.  Tanning beds are dangerous.  Even though you don't see the effects immediately, as we grow old the worse our wrinkles will be and those skin cancers will pop up, believe me I've had four of those scary things and the scars to prove it.

SPRAYS OR LOTIONS IN A CAN...

How many of you have tried this?  Can you say streaky???  It's hard to do it yourself.  It almost never comes out right and don't forget the orange color.  Save yourself the humiliation and come to Tocco del Sole, Airbrush Spray Tanning.  No streaks, no orange....just perfectly tan.
